It's interesting to note that the European perspective on learning is to have a reciprocation of knowledge between students and teachers.
In the Caribbean, it's generally thought that the teachers have all the knowledge, and students must simply absorb, retain and repeat information.
As mentioned, this is a generalisation and I'm sure there are some teachers who utilise interactive and reciprocal techniques regarding learning and knowledge, however, I'm yet to personally experience it here.
